Hotelday Plus Hualien Sante, a branch of the Hotelday Group, is located just in front of Hualien Station, a 5-minute walk away. There are many car rental shops and souvenir stores nearby. Guests who drive are advised to arrive early; you can get a parking card when checking in at the front desk. The hotel does not have its own parking lot but collaborates with external parking facilities. The number of parking spaces is limited, and if you don't get a parking card, you can park in public street parking spots and get a reimbursement for the parking fee by presenting the payment receipt to the hotel, which is quite convenient.
Next to the check-in counter on the first floor, there is a small climbing area where children can occasionally be seen playing, though it's unclear if there are staff supervising the area. The complimentary breakfast is quite simple with limited options, just enough to fill you up.
At first glance, the rooms have a somewhat hipster vibe but lean towards a business style. The decor is simple and clean. They are aware that the soundproofing is not great, as free earplugs are provided by the bedside. The soundproofing here is indeed not very good, and the walls are quite thin. However, the separate shower and toilet design is a nice feature, preventing overcrowding during use, though the cleanliness could be improved. There are some moldy and slightly damaged parts. Considering the price, there are quite a few issues. Due to the humidity, each room is equipped with a dehumidifier.
There are washing machines and dryers available downstairs. Guests can exchange coins at the front desk to use these facilities.
