Food Review | Ajumma's Unlimited Korean BBQ at ATT Store in Xinyi | Indulge in All-You-Can-Eat Korean BBQ with Big Bites of Meat

Finally, the day has come to indulge in Ajumma's Unlimited Korean BBQ. Even before the ATT Xinyi store opened, I knew there was one in Ximending. However, I'm not particularly fond of the Ximending area. One reason is the distance, and the other reason is also the distance. Unless there are special circumstances, I rarely make plans to go there with friends. Typically, I prefer areas like the Eastern District and the Xinyi commercial district. Moreover, Korean BBQ is not something you typically enjoy alone, so I kept postponing. But the craving for grilled pork belly has been lingering for a while, and this place offers great value for money. (Many Korean BBQ places are ridiculously expensive!)

Orders are placed using a scanning system for online ordering. There are about 5-6 types of self-service snacks, all classic Korean dishes such as pancakes, fried chicken, assorted vegetables, and fried items. Basically, apart from this area, the stomach is reserved solely for meat satisfaction, leaving no room for anything else to occupy space.

Korean side dishes, especially kimchi varieties, are essential as they provide a palate-refreshing change of taste. Wrapping meat in lettuce leaves also helps break the monotony, as solely consuming pork belly can become overwhelming.

The sauce section is where the magic happens - pairing meat with garlic and chili is truly satisfying!

Despite being a late arrival during the lunch hour, there were still quite a few diners. Surprisingly, a significant wave of customers had already left by the time we arrived. I initially thought there would be fewer people dining at lunchtime!

Cheese can indeed become a bit overwhelming if you dip too much, although it's undeniably delicious. However, after experiencing its richness, it's understandable to avoid ordering it again later in the meal!

Each lettuce wrap with meat contains different ingredients, offering a variety of flavors with each bite.

This big soup, although labeled as Korean-style, doesn't quite taste like traditional Korean soybean paste soup. Instead, it resembles more of a Taiwanese-style miso soup. Quite puzzling, isn't it?

Grilling a large plate of meat all at once is indeed satisfying, and the biggest fear when eating Korean BBQ is the interruption of the flow. One must constantly grill and order to maintain an uninterrupted cycle of meat consumption. This ensures a continuous supply of meat without any breaks. Their meat generally looks good in quality, albeit a bit fatty. It's best to grill off the excess fat to avoid feeling too heavy and to be able to eat more. Additionally, it's better to grill the marinated and plain pork belly separately. Grilling the marinated one requires more skill as it can easily burn. I'll definitely make time to come back for another round. A single meal here can keep meat cravings at bay for several days, haha!
