In the countryside, is it really cooler? The heat can be unbearable, especially during the daytime when the sun is scorching, and there's little shelter outdoors. It's nearly impossible to stay outside for long; the risk of heatstroke is high. That's why farmers head out early in the morning and work until just before the sun sets. Otherwise, it's nearly impossible to work during the rest of the day.
During summer, Xiao Bao either stays indoors with a fan or air conditioning on. Except for necessary walks or bathroom breaks, it's incredibly smart and prefers staying indoors, avoiding the outdoors. Unless intentionally tied up, limiting its movement and forcing it to bask in the sun, it actively seeks comfort—either by finding a spot with a fan or seeking shade.
Moreover, it looks for a cool floor and simply lounges there. It doesn't budge even when people pass by; it acts like a roadblock, almost asking for a toll fee, like a stubborn old man.
When it's comfortable, it even grins mischievously, its expression giving away its contentment. The only thing that can tempt it is snacks; only food can make it move from its spot.
