I originally thought that there were no shops in the Smangus Tribe, so I bought snacks and instant noodles down the mountain first. There is very little information online, and no relevant information was available. Most recommendations suggest buying supplies down the mountain before heading up, as it is more convenient. Of course, if you have enough time, it's better to prepare in advance. The small shops here are more suitable for emergency supplies. Due to the inconvenient transportation and location, it's quite challenging to transport daily necessities up the mountain. The human and material resources required are relatively high, which is completely understandable. We should even be very grateful to them!
There are many day-trippers here, so they don't need these shops. However, you can come in to see some souvenirs inside. Guests staying overnight who may have forgotten toiletries like shower gel, toothpaste, and toothbrushes (which are not provided in accommodations, only towels and bathrobes) can purchase disposable ones here.
Beverages and snacks are also available. Don't expect too much, having them is already nice!
The instant noodles counter is actually the most crucial one. It's more important than the others because there's no other food available if you get hungry at night. Restaurants close early, and instant noodles are your only option. Unless you have additional food to bring up the mountain, not having a cup of instant noodles on the mountain feels strange. You can have a cup for a late-night snack or enjoy one after completing a trail when you're tired. It's truly satisfying!
The prices here are quite reasonable, just slightly higher than down the mountain. The price increase is even lower than you might imagine, really fair.
