In Macau, most major casino groups offer free shuttle buses. Whether you enter Macau from the Zhuhai border, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge port, by ferry, or through the airport, there are free shuttle buses that will take you to the casino hotels. Other hotels do not provide this service, but since Macau is relatively small, you can opt to take a shuttle bus from a nearby casino hotel and then walk or take a taxi to your destination, which can help reduce transportation costs.
We entered Macau via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, and first needed to take a free bus from the port to the shuttle bus area outside. The distance isn’t far if there’s no traffic, but if there’s a traffic jam, the journey can take 30 to 40 minutes. Unfortunately, we encountered traffic during the evening rush hour, which caused significant delays. At that time, even if we had taken another form of transportation, we would still have been stuck in traffic.
We were split into two different hotel groups: my brother and his group took the Galaxy Group’s free shuttle bus, while I took the shuttle heading toward The Venetian and The Londoner (Sheraton). It seemed like the shuttle buses going to The Venetian had more frequent departures, so the wait time was shorter!
