Kuai Chao Taiwanese Restaurant, Far Eastern Department Store Xinyi Branch, was the location for this family gathering. After a hard search for a restaurant, we finally managed to book a table thanks to my brother's luck, with no other time slots available. It's just Valentine's Day, why are all the restaurants fully booked? Maybe it has something to do with us only thinking about booking a restaurant the day before? Hahaha!
Kuai Chao Taiwanese Restaurant isn't traditional Taiwanese cuisine; it's more of a creative take on Taiwanese dishes, with a hint of traditional stir-fry flavors. The prices are on the higher side, and some dishes are not particularly large in portion. For a gathering, you might need to order more dishes. Whether it's worth it or not is a matter of personal opinion! Additionally, there is a time limit for dining.

The broth of the seafood hot pot fish head looked quite light at first glance, and indeed, it tasted quite light, which was a bit different from what I expected. It had a fresh taste, but I found it to be rather ordinary. On the other hand, the most memorable dish was the traditional giant shaved ice we ordered last. After all, it's called a giant for a reason—it was huge, and of course, the price was something you had to accept. Honestly, for a date, it's worth a try, mainly because of the ambiance and atmosphere. But as for the food itself, I personally think that for the same price, having some stir-fried dishes would be more enjoyable. Everyone has different tastes and preferences, so just choose what you like.
