When you don't know the local attractions, the hotel staff is the best option to ask. Head straight to the front desk of the Nice Prince Hotel and inquire about nearby recommended attractions. We also want to go in the direction of the north as it's on the way, since we have only planned a visit to chateau de jourdeness. It seems like a waste of time to go directly back to Taipei for the remaining time.
That's also the main reason we're visiting the Taiping Suspension Bridge, and there's a Taiping Old Street nearby as well. It's a place we've never heard of before, and the distance isn't too far. Let's take a walk there, as we never know when we'll have the chance to come again. It's certain that we won't make a separate trip just for this. (The only issue is that we need to go north, so we have to return to the foot of the mountain to access the highway.)
You can purchase tickets at the Taiping Suspension Bridge Service Center for NT$100 per adult. Some identification cards are eligible for discounts, such as student cards. If you're concerned about walking on the Taiping Suspension Bridge, you can also purchase tickets once you're up there. Tickets can also be purchased at the entrance and ticket booth, so you can decide whether to walk on the bridge after reaching the top. Please note that the bridge is one-way only, and you can only walk across it, not return. This is something to keep in mind!

As you drive up from the foot of the mountain, you can already see the suspension bridge, and it's a realization that it's going to be challenging. There's a section below where the distance is suspended at a great height.
The Taiping Suspension Bridge is very stable and doesn't sway. However, on that day, there was no wind, so I'm not sure how it would be in windy conditions. There is a section in the middle with a glass floor, allowing you to see the valley below. Well, I couldn't bring myself to look and simply walked across the bridge. I didn't even glance at the views on either side and hurriedly crossed over. Don't ask me about the scenery; I have no idea as I didn't pay any attention to it. I'm confident it must be great!
When going up and down the mountain, it's advisable to drive slowly due to the presence of the famous Taiping Thirty-Six Turns, some of which have sharp angles. Extra caution is required when navigating these bends. Additionally, the parking lot is located next to the Taiping Suspension Bridge Service Center, and it's relatively convenient for parking on weekdays. However, on weekends when there are more cars, it may be difficult to find parking, and you may need to use the nearby private paid parking lot.
